Retirement of Deb Gillespie
- Retirement of Deb Gillespie
In thanksgiving for all she has contributed to the diocese during her many years of service to us, we are sad to announce that Deb Gillespie will retire on Thursday, November 21st. Though only employed by the diocese officially for 10 years, Deb has shared her gifts and passion for liturgy with us for almost 40 years. Among many other contributions which she has made to the English sector over those years, was the Liturgy Formation Program, a program developed by Deb to promote leadership and excellence in the liturgical life of our parishes. Through this program, made possible by funds from the Archdiocese of Moncton Foundation, experts in liturgy throughout the country facilitated weekend courses for participants on various aspects of liturgical life. As a result of this, and other initiatives by Deb, the parishes in the English sector have today several lay people formed in the principles of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. This is her legacy. We wish Deb well in her retirement and wrap her in our prayers and love as she continues her journey. She will be missed.
