Diocesan Appointments for 2020
ARCHDIOCESE OF MONCTON 2020 APPOINTMENTS
For the priests, each year, comes a time of appointments and changes to ensure the best service possible to all Christian communities. Here are the appointments promulgated by Most Reverend Valéry Vienneau for the Archdiocese of Moncton with the approval of the Provincial Superior of Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer – Province of Canada, Fr. Charles Duval, C.Ss.R.
Fr. Mario Doyle, C.Ss.R., pastor (priest-moderator) in the pastoral unit of Marie Étoile de la Mer will leave the Archdiocese to continue his ministry elsewhere. He is appointed to the community of the Shrine in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and a member of the Team of the Shrine as of September 1st, 2020. We greatly thank Fr. Mario Doyle for his ministry with us since 2011 and his special interest in adult faith education. We wish him a successful ministry in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré.
Fr. Jean Bélisle, C.Ss.R., is officially appointed pastor (priest-moderator) of the pastoral unit Marie-Étoile-de-la-Mer, including the parishes of Saint-Louis-des-Français (Saint-Louis), Saint-Ignace de Loyola (Saint-Ignace), Saint-Joseph (Pointe-Sapin) et Sainte-Anne (Baie Ste-Anne). His appointment will take effect on September 1st 2020.
Fr. Bernard Gauthier, C.Ss.R., is officially appointed full-time assistant-priest in the Elsipogtog grouping including the parishes of Saint Anne (Elsipogtog) and Saint Kateri Tekakwitha (Indian Island) and also in the Our Lady of Hope Pastoral unit including the parishes of Immaculate Conception (Rexton) and Saint Peter (South Branch). His appointment takes effect on July 1st 2020.
We are very happy to welcome Fr. Bernard Gauthier and Fr. Jean Bélisle and wish them a happy stay with us and a fruitful ministry in our archdiocese.
