Appointment of a new Apostolic Nuncio to Canada

On June 5th, His Holiness, Pope Francis appointed the Most Reverend Ivan Jurkovič as the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada. He replaces the former Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Luigi Bonazzi. The new nuncio entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on May 1^st, 1984,  serving in the diplomatic missions of the Holy See in Korea, Columbia, the Russian Federation, and at the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State of the Holy See. He arrives in Canada with a great experience.
