NETWORK WORKSHOP: POLARIZING WORLD & CHURCH – IMPACT AND OPPORTUNITIES ON MINISTRY WITH YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY facilitated by Dr. Anne Walsh, will take place via Zoom on October 12th from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm (Atlantic Time). 

What are we talking about when we use the word “polarization”? To live by the terms of polarization is to accept the perspective that there are only two poles to choose from, and to allow ourselves to be driven to an “either/or” way of looking at ourselves, society, the world, or the Church- the list could go on and on. This seems to have become more of an issue lately. It seems more and more challenging to bring together people together in respectful and honest dialogue and discernment. What examples from the life and ministry of Jesus might shed some light on this current experience? What values might need to be cultivated in order for us to build a world and a Church in which diversity is not a threat, but a source of encounter and richness?  How can we build bridges, rather than walls?
